Crestview baseball bounces back with big wins
Coming into the week, the Crestview baseball team only had three wins.
In two days, they doubled that win total.
Anglin and Ratcliff claim regional titles in weightlifting
It was another banner day for Crestview boys weightlifters, Braxton Ratcliff and Eli Anglin, as they claimed regional titles in traditional and Olympic lifting in the 199 and 169-lb. classes on April 2 in DeLand.
Additionally, Ratcliff totaled 605 to claim the title and also finished fourth in the traditional competition, lifting the most in his weight class in both the snatch (270) and clean (335).
Bulldogs softball keeps pushing after tough losses
Through 13 games in the 2025 season, the Crestview softball team is 4-9.
Even with a losing record, the Bulldogs continue to play hard.
Laurel Hill baseball keeps fighting in tough season
Getting swept by a large margin in a doubleheader against Altheia Christian Academy on April 1 was a microcosm of the tough season for the Laurel Hill baseball program.
There were defensive mistakes such as costly errors in the outfield that allowed for the opponent to take extra bases along with errors when the Hoboes were at the plate such as when a player was caught in a run down at third base with less than two outs.
Crestview flag football has bright future ahead
On a cool, windy night the Crestview flag football dropped to state power, Pace, by a final of 34-0.
Not much went right for the Bulldogs.
North Okaloosa schools move in latest FHSAA rankings
The FHSAA released their latest rankings on March 31 for spring sports that included baseball, softball, flag football and beach volleyball.
In the rural classification in baseball, Baker was ranked sixth in the region as they came into the release with a record of 9-5.
Gators and Bulldogs boys weightlifting set for regional meet
Boys weightlifters from both Crestview High School and Baker will participate in the region 1-3A and region 1-1A meet that will take place on April 2 in DeLand and April 5 in Baker.
Six competitors will represent the Bulldogs in Olympic lifting as Nathaniel Yeaman, Andrew Wahowski, Jun Kawasumi, Eli Anglin, Carson Swotek and Braxton Ratcliff qualified for the regional meet.

Crestview’s beach volleyball went 2-0 this week, beating Arnold and Pace on the road.
Crestview swept all five matches against Arnold before hanging on for a 3-2 victory over the Patriots to boost its record to 8-1.
