It might be premature to declare that Baker’s football program is back after a Kickoff Classic, but it’s not too early to say the Gators are heading in the right direction with Matt Brunson back calling the shots as the head coach.

The story has been told time and time again. A friend is doing something so somebody decides to join them, and they are hooked before they know it.

The Laurel Hill School cheerleading squad is made up of younger members, many of them still in middle school.

The Crestview Bulldogs will offer the first sneak peak of the 2024 season on Thursday, Aug. 14 when they host Pensacola Catholic in the Kickoff Classic. The game will start at 7 p.m.

A nice crowd was on hand at Doug Griffith Memorial Stadium as the youngest Gators football players in the Baker youth league to the oldest Gators, seniors on the Baker School varsity took turns showcasing their talents.

All systems are go as Baker’s football team heads into the final days of fall camp.

“Things are looking good,” head coach Matt Brunson said. “Our kids are working hard. We’ve had a great summer in the weight room.
