Crestview’s volleyball team has been searching for answers on how to find success on the court. After a trip to Orlando, the Bulldogs hit the road again to face West Florida before returning home to host Destin.

Crestview lost both sets in a sweep by Destin this past Thursday.

The Florida heat subsided a little last Tuesday afternoon as Crestview and Baker’s golf teams competed at Blackwater Golf Course alongside the Jay Royals.

The boys had a close match, differing by two strokes between first, second and third place, while Crestview’s girls’ team continued to top the podium.

Crestview took on its first district opponent of the 2026 season, and Baker showed it could hang with the competition in 1A.

Here’s a look back at the thier week four performance.

The Crestview Bulldogs hosted the Tate Aggies for their Hall of Fame game last Friday night. Emma Arterburn Land, Jody Evans, Matt Gillis and Brian Humphrey were the four Hall of Fame inductees that night.

As for the game, Crestview fell to 0-4 after a 28-7 loss to Tate.

The Baker Gators returned home after defeating Holmes County in their first 1A district match. Their next opponent wasn’t going to be any easier with Blountstown visiting the swamp.

Baker fought hard each quarter but couldn’t find a way to contain Blountstown, leading to a 38-22 loss.

The Baker volleyball team has kept the winning tradition alive so far in 2026, winning seven of its first eight games of the season.

With the recent release of the FHSAA volleyball rankings, Baker sits in second place behind defending district champion Jay.

There was a different type of energy inside Laurel Hill’s gym this past Tuesday when the Baker Gators visited for a district volleyball rematch.

The Hoboes were coming off a 3-1 win over Pleasant Home and were seeking to upset Baker, but fell short in the end, losing 3-1.

It was a chaotic week three in high school football last Thursday and Friday night, and week four has the potential to become pandemonium.

Here’s a peek into what to expect for week four.

Over the summer, the Crestview club wrestling team joined Sons of Thunder and Daughters of Zion wrestling club in Panama City Beach.

The combination of these two clubs grants opportunities for youth athletes who are interested in the sport of wrestling.

Before the long weekend, there was still some work to be done by Crestview and Baker’s cross-country teams.

The two left early Saturday morning to compete at the Pace Patriot Invitational Sept. 5.
