Week seven of the high school football season was jam packed with excitement. Here’s a look back at all the action and what to expect this week.

The Crestview Bulldogs had fought their way back into the game against Mitchell last Friday after falling behind 21-7.

It was fourth-and-long with three minutes left in the game, and Crestview needed to convert to continue its offensive drive.

The Baker Gators welcomed fans into Doug Griffith Stadium for their homecoming game against FAMU DRS.

Baker handled business to ensure victory with a 50-16 final score over the Rattlers.

“Name, Image & Likeness (NIL): What Every Student-Athlete and Parent Should Know” is a community seminar put on by the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association and the Equity Project Alliance that will join local experts from the world of professional sports, college athletics, finance and law Oct. 20 at Brownsville Community Center, 3200 W. DeSoto Street. Doors and food service will open at 4:30 p.m. while the event runs from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Laurel Hill’s volleyball team returned home after another rough 3-2 district loss to Central Sept. 24. The Hoboes had some time to shake off the dust and prepare to host Vernon last Tuesday, whom they swept 3-0.

The Crestview Area Youth Association is known for its broad participation in multiple sports. The organization is now branching out with the addition of 7v7 football starting in mid-January.

Full blown chaos has ensued as the FHSAA has left the football rankings to MaxPreps this year. Note that these numbers are based on the most recent MaxPreps update as of Sept. 27.

The Baker volleyball team entered its match with West Florida last Monday with some slight emotion after honoring the five seniors on the roster.

It took some time to get the wheels rolling, but the Gators defeated West Florida 3-1 to increase their winning streak to seven.

Crestview’s volleyball team had a jam-packed weekend full of volleyball after traveling to Pace Sept. 26.

The Bulldogs competed in two district matchups with Pace and Navarre before finishing their day with West Florida.
