Arrest made in June 2022 fatal motorcycle crash
A Crestview woman has been arrested on DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges for her role in a June 2022 traffic crash that resulted in the death of a Fort Walton Beach man.
The Crestview Police Department arrested 55-year-old Ellie Mae Ainsworth of Crestview on Thursday in reference to the investigation of a June 17, 2022, traffic crash that resulted in the death of 38-year-old William Norris Cosgrove III of Fort Walton Beach.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, the Concern Citizens Group of Crestview and the City of Crestview held a MLK march down Main Street filled with singing, laughter and smiles. Following the march, the community gathered for a special program to commemorate King and cultivate the continuation of his dream of living in a united and equal world.

Crestview names its 2022 Citizen of the Year
Dana Clah, the founder of the Emerald Coast Life Center, thought she was invited to the City of Crestview’s Mae Reatha Coleman Citizen of the Year recognition to support her pastor.
She was taken aback when she found out she was this year’s recipient of the Citizen of the Year award and the people in the audience were there to celebrate her achievements from the past year.

Crestview seeks funds for sewer improvements
Three sewage-related proposals will be submitted to the state for the Local Funding Initiative Requests.
Each year, the city requests funding assistance from the state Legislature on a number of projects. With the Legislative Session scheduled to start in April, many municipalities are in the process of submitted funding requests.
