The summer got off to a rough start for the Crestview Lady Bulldog basketball team.

Coach Connor Williams announced he was leaving for a college job in early June and the team has been in transition since.

Natalie Toney enters her third year as a starter for the Crestview Lady Bulldog basketball team as one of the team leaders. 

The soft-spoken junior lets her play doing most of her talking. But she realizes that it’s also important for her to be a leader.

Beach volleyball is still a new sport in Crestview.

The Lady Bulldogs of Crestview High School fielded just their second team in the spring. And the sport has yet to filter down to the middle school level.

It has been said if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime.

It also could be said, that if you teach a kid to fish, you provide a lifetime of outdoor recreation and fun.

It’s not too early to make plans to attend the Crestview volleyball indoor camp.

The camp is set for July 8-10 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Crestview High School gym. The cost of the camp is $75.

Crestview High School’s boys basketball team lost a ton of talent to graduation.
Gone are Makhi Jones, the leading scorer, A.J. Johnson, who ran the point, big man Josiah Klauser and Zay Parks, who was an athletic utility player who could do damage on every level.

As a sophomore in 2022, Lorenzo Blackwell established himself as one of the best players on the Crestview High School football team. He was also in the process of becoming one of the best basketball players for the Bulldogs.
And basketball is his first love.
