On a breezy day in early June, Crestview head football coach Thomas Grant looked out onto the Bulldogs practice field. While his position group that he was working with, the offensive line, was coming back from a water break, the rest of his squad was just getting back into drills.

Earlier last week, Jackson Cantwell, who was a five-star offensive tackle in high school from Missouri, announced his commitment to play at the University of Miami for football. Cantwell did not officially sign with the school. He just verbally committed in a public ceremony.
