Crestview baseball team ‘slides’ into four game losing streak
It was a rough Thursday night as the Crestview Bulldog baseball team went up against No. 1 Pace. The last time these two teams faced one another, the Patriots came out on top 2-0.
That was not the case for last week’s game as the Patriots run-ruled the Bulldogs 10-0 by the sixth inning.
Crestview Tennis shows out on Senior Day
It was ‘Senior Day’ for the Crestview tennis team last Thursday. A day spent recognizing the six senior players on the teams and sharing their future goals.
After the ceremony, the players got ready to take on their opponents from Mosley. The boys won their side 6-1, and the girls swept Mosley 7-0.
Crestview Flag Football keeps winning
The Crestview Flag Football team has performed well this season. The Bulldogs have improved their record to 5-2 overall after beating Freeport 29-0 in their second meeting of the season.
Bulldogs go 2-0 in Tri-match
The Crestview beach volleyball team competed in a tri-match on the road last Tuesday against Mosley and Bay.
The Bulldogs had to shake the rust off from Spring Break, but won both matches 3-2 and 5-0.
Baker skids after weeklong break
The Baker baseball team went into Spring Break with a 17-4 win over Ponce De Leon. But the break might’ve proven to be detrimental to the Gators as they lost their first game back to Chipley 10-3.
Hoboes get two firsts in win over Paxton
It was a party in Laurel Hill last Tuesday, as the Hoboes’ baseball team got their first Rural district 1 win of the season.
Not only was this Laurel Hill’s first district win, but it was also against an opponent they hadn’t beaten in over nine years, making their 9-6 victory over Paxton one for the history books.
Bulldog softball drops one in extras
The Crestview softball team last played on Friday March 13, before stepping away for a week for Spring Break.
For their first game back, the Bulldogs went up against the Milton Panthers, who they beat twice in the preseason. It was a close game that Crestview tied in the sixth, but an error in extras gave Milton the walk-off win 3-2.
Baker stays with FHSAA, joins Class 1A for 2026-27 football season
On January 29, 2026, the Florida High School Athletic Association passed a vote that combined Rural Class and Class 1A into one single classification for football.
Schools had the choice to compete in an independent league under FHSAA authority or move to Class 1A. Baker High School opted out of competing independently and will join Class 1A this upcoming season.
Upcoming battle between two 6A powerhouses
The Crestview Bulldogs’ baseball team currently sits in second place behind Pace in the 6A District 1 standings.
The two teams previously played on February 26 at Pace, where Crestview took their second loss of the season after a 2-0 final. Crestview will host Pace for a rematch in their final district game of the season on March 26.
Baker baseball and softball making seasonal runs
The Baker baseball team started the season engines roaring with a five-game winning streak dating back to late February, outscoring their opponents 60-25. Since then, the Gators are 9-5 overall and are third in the district at 2-1.
Baker’s softball team got a late start to their season, beginning February 24. They’re a young team competing with no seniors but possess a 3-4 overall record while 2-0 in the district.
