Bulldogs gear up for 2023 baseball season
Crestview High School baseball coach Tim Gillis has been around the game for the better part of 50 years dating back to his days playing youth baseball here in Crestview.
But he never tires of welcoming a new season when hope springs eternal.
Gators to play at Blue Wahoos Stadium
In all likelihood, none of the Baker Gator baseball players will ever have an offer to play professional baseball. Their childhood dreams of playing for a favorite Major League team will end with graduation.
Gators and Bulldogs compete in Baker Invitational
One of the biggest boys weightlifting meets of the year took place at Baker School last week when the Gators hosted the Baker Invitational.
The host Gators were joined by big school powerhouses Navarre, Pace, Milton, Crestview and Fort Walton Beach along with Walton, Jay and Pensacola Catholic.
Bass association holds monthly tournament
The Crestview Bass Association began the new year with a tournament on Lake Frank Jackson in Opp, Alabama.
The tournament took place on Feb. 4, with the day starting out rather chilly at 34 degrees. Temperatures did warm as the day progressed.CHS cheerleaders compete at state championships
It had been a while since the Crestview High School cheerleaders had competed at state before the weekend of Feb. 3-4 of this year. Seven years to be exact.
More than 130 schools are listed in the medium or 2A division and Crestview finished eighth in the state in the classification at the competition held in Gainesville at the University of Florida.Crestview tennis fall to Niceville

Lady Bulldogs repel Lady Sharks
When swimming with the sharks it’s probably wise to use shark repellent.
The Crestview High School Lady Bulldogs hosted the Ponte Vedra Lady Sharks in the Region 1 Class 6A quarterfinals on Thursday. The Lady Bulldogs brought their normal repellent against the Lady Sharks that worked so well against Eagles, Panthers and Tigers, a relentless defense.
Seven Bulldogs sign scholarships
Their Bulldog football careers now over, seven Crestview High School graduating senior football players signed scholarships to take their talents to the next level.

It was a tough night for the Crestview High School boys basketball team on Wednesday. The Bulldogs traveled to Tate for the District 1-6A tournament semifinal.
The game was a battle to the final seconds. In the end, turnovers and missed free throws were the difference as the Aggies came out on top 55-50.
Bulldogs advance in district tournament
The third time was the charm for the Crestview boys basketball team when it took on Milton in the opening round if the District 1-6A tournament on Tuesday. Of course, the first and second times were charms as well.
Led by Makhi Jones’ 15 points, the Bulldogs beat the Panthers 55-33.
