Crestview’s Payton Gaines and Jonah Lee advance to state
This past weekend on February 28, two Crestview wrestlers punched their ticket to state. Junior, Jonah Lee advanced in the boy’s 113lbs 2A-Region 1, and Sophomore, Payton Gaines advanced in the girl’s 115lbs 1A-Region 1.
Both will compete at the 2026 FHSAA State Championships starting March 5 at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, FL.
Baker baseball takes first loss of season
The Baker Gators baseball team hosted the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights this past Friday.
Baker came out ready to extend their record to 6-0, but Rocky Bayou fought back late in the game to hand the Gators a 5-3 loss.

The Crestview baseball team went on the road in a district game against Pace.
Both sides had a strong performance on the mound, but Pace’s bats found the ball more than Crestview in the Bulldogs 2-0 loss.

The Bulldogs’ defense held strong, but a three run fifth inning from Navarre would be too much to battle back from in their 4-3 loss.

The Crestview Bulldogs beach volleyball team began their season last Tuesday against Mosley.
The Bulldogs had no problem with the sand as they started the season off right with a 4-1 victory at home.

The Hoboes looked to hang on early, but a 10-run fourth inning put the game out of reach for a 14-2 final.

The Crestview tennis team traveled to Rocky Bayou Christian this past Tuesday for a competitive tennis match.
The Bulldog boys fell to Rocky Bayou 4-3, and the girls were swept across the board 7-0.
Baker opens softball season against Destin
The Baker Gators began their softball season last Tuesday as they hosted the Destin Sharks.
The Gators are working on getting oil in the machine as they lost their first game 11-3.
Crestview’s Manganello earns historic bronze in final Olympic race
U.S. Olympian speed skater Mia Manganello, who spent her childhood in Crestview, won her second Olympic bronze medal Saturday at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan, Italy. In what she described as her final race, she not only medaled but also became the first U.S. athlete, male or female, to medal in the mass start event.
Crestview hangs on in battle with Tate
The Crestview Bulldog baseball team hosted the Tate Aggies in a district baseball showdown last Thursday.
The Bulldogs’ bats started off hot, but a comeback from Tate had Crestview on the edge of their seat in a 5-3 win.
