As recently as 2021, 12.3% of children in Okaloosa County were faced with food insecurity.

Shana Lawson is hoping to change that.

The Rev. Amber Anglin has experienced multiples miracles in her life. She and her husband were married in 2010, and then waited a few years before welcoming a son in 2014.

Chuck Walthall is the owner of “Walthall and Associates” a consulting company, specializing in acoustical, audio, visual, automation and production lighting-solutions.

Walthall grew up in Crestview and attended First Baptist Church in Crestview.

Local area churches are coming together on November 3rd for “Raise the Standard”, an event taking place outside the Okaloosa County Circuit Court.

The event will begin at 6:30 PM.

Most churches are empty during the weekday mornings.

However, tucked away in a classroom on the campus of First Baptist Church, a conversation of faith and prayer continues.

As part of city government week, which will run through Oct. 21-27, the City of Crestview will sponsor the “Prayers for Our City” Day on Oct. 27.

An official listing sponsored by the city said that “we ask churches in Crestview to pray for our city and officials.”

Exceptional Family Member Program members shared a unique opportunity for connection and healing, thanks to a special event at the Sand Spur Riding Club, Sept. 28.

In the close-knit community of Crestview, Hailey’s Helping Hearts has become more than just a nonprofit — it stands as a testament to the spirit and compassion of a remarkable teen. Founded by Hailey Rose Thale, whose dream was to make a difference in the lives of those in need, the organization continues to thrive tremendously under the care of her mother, Mary Hutcheson.

Sometimes God needs to give you a gentle kick in the tuchus to get you to take the next step he has in mind for you. For the Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church, he sent a new pastor to do the job for him.
