Mike White looks like a man you would want as your pastor. His white hair and strong hands are evidence of years spent with God in prayer.

And after talking to him for a few minutes his love for his Lord and people quickly comes through.

Live Oak Baptist Church isn’t the easiest church to find in Crestview, but it has a ministry that dates back 90 years.

Pastor Jerry Nelson will celebrate 12 years at the church on November 30 of this year. Nelson cut to the heart of things when asked why someone would consider joining Live Oak.

Crestview Mayor JB Whitten read a proclamation stating that May 5, 2022, was in fact the National Day of Prayer, an American event that was first held in 1952 under a proclamation signed by President Harry S. Truman.
