A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of drunken driving offered a Crestview police officer $1,000 to release him as authorities took him to the Okaloosa County Jail, according to an arrest report from the Crestview Police Department.

Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputies fired no shots during a predawn standoff Aug. 8 that ended when an armored vehicle struck and pinned a Crestview man against his house, Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden said during a press conference Aug. 12.

Antonio Austin Haner, 29, died Saturday morning after authorities say he opened fire on Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputies who were attempting to serve multiple warrants at his Crestview home at 607 Alabama St.

Kimahri Blevins, 15, and Gabriel Williams, 16, are due back in court this summer.
The pair were charged with first-degree premeditated murder or felony murder for allegedly killing their classmate Danika Troy, 14. The two teens were indicted Dec. 19, 2025.

Danielle Renee Krejci of Brackin St. in Crestview was arrested May 3, after reportedly firing her gun twice in the direction of a pickup truck.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested 62-year-old Karen Kroll of Crestview and charged her with 42 counts of animal cruelty.
