Tristan Cooley isn’t the biggest player on the Crestview High School boys tennis team, but the freshman has quickly become the team’s biggest talent.

Coming from a tennis family, Cooley stepped into the top seed and hasn’t looked back.

Toolan is the right-handed half of Crestview’s dynamic freshmen duo teaming with lefty Julian Forrest.

Kaya Wolfgramm didn’t start the 2023 season as the top seed on the Crestview High School girls tennis team. But when asked, she was ready for the challenge.

“I quickly realized she needed to be in that one position,” Bulldog tennis coach Dan Byerly said. “She just needed to get a few matches under her belt to get a feel for what high school tennis is like.

Addie St. John is not your typical freshman softball player. But then again, that could be said of many Baker Lady Gator softball players through the years.

In her first year of high school, St. John is in her third year as a starter on the varsity softball team. That’s one of the perks of attending a pre-K through 12 school, athletes can play varsity sports while still in middle school.

Crestview’s boys and girls track teams competed at the Frank Lay Patriot Invitational in Pace last Thursday afternoon.

There was no magic formula as the Baker Lady Gator softball team hosted Walton last Monday. Baker made the Braves play catch up the entire game.

When the final out was made in the top of the seventh inning, Baker had a 6-4 win.

Simply put, the Lady Gators were taking care of business in a 7-6 extra inning win over Northview.

Bryson Martin gave the Crestview baseball team the boost it needed on Monday night in a game against rival Choctawhatchee.
Martin turned in six solid innings on the mound and got a little help from his defense as Bulldogs beat the Indians 9-5.

The Crestview baseball team couldn’t overcome a big second inning by Walton on Friday.
The Braves scored seven runs in the second inning and added two in the third. The nine runs were enough as Walton beat the Bulldogs 9-7.

Sometimes the breaks don’t go your way in sports.
That was the case for the Crestview softball team on Thursday night as the Lady Bulldogs hosted rival Niceville. Despite not having anybody strike out, Crestview fell to the Eagles 13-4.
