Zy Tassin made a big play when Crestview’s football team needed one.


Twice he scored in the first half against Navarre last Friday night, with his second touchdown being scored after he outjumped a defensive back, hung onto the ball and took off for the end zone.

On Oct. 11, Baker dropped a road contest 21-20, to Zion Chapel (Alabama).

The Crestview Bulldogs swept Fort Walton Beach, 3-0, on senior night (Oct. 10th) to finish the regular season strong ahead of next week’s district tournament.

Crestview improved to 11-12 on the season, grabbing their first win since they swept a three-match tournament on September 28th.

For the final time before the district playoffs, the Florida High School Athletic Association released its state volleyball rankings on Oct. 9.

Baker (6-1) had four players total over 30 yards rushing, and had three players find the end zone on the ground, in a 20-6 victory over Northview on Oct. 4.

On a rainy Friday night in Crestview, the Bulldogs fell just short of visiting Pine Forest, 13-7, in overtime.

Pace and Jay are still among the top teams in their respective regions while Navarre, Crestview and Baker are outside the top eight.
