Crestview basketball star Natalie Toney has already made her name known for her stellar play.

Now in her junior year, she’s looking to make her star even brighter.

It’ll be a totally different game for Crestview’s Jredyn Bufford in 2024 as he’ll be on varsity for the first time.

Bufford played JV ball last year, so he understands what head coach Greg Watson wants from his players. At the same time, he knows there will be an adjustment period going up a level of play.

The Baker football team is post-season bound.

Baker earned the top seed in the rural football invitational tournament, giving them a bye in the first round.

The Baker volleyball team saw their season end on Monday afternoon in the state semifinals, falling to Branford in a five-set thriller.

Baker ends the 2024 campaign at 11-13 after falling by a final of 18-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20 and 8-15.

Crestview football finished the regular season strong, as they defeated Fort Walton Beach on the road, 26-21.

Head Coach Thomas Grant’s team ends the year 4-6 overall and 2-3 in road contests.  Fort Walton Beach dropped to 3-7.

Homecoming was just about perfect for the Baker football team, as they defeated Vernon by a final of 41-7 on Friday night before a raucous home crowd.

Baker finishes the regular season at 7-3 and will await the playoff bracket that will come out next week, to see who they will play when the postseason begins on November 15th.

Katlyn Maynard might be a girl of few words, but her golf game speaks for itself. The Crestview sophomore punched a ticket to the regional tournament for the first time in her high school career last Monday at Stonebrook in Pace.
