Recently, four teams from four different nations participated in a hockey tournament called the “Four Nations Face-Off.”
It pitted the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland against each other as they played a round-robin tournament with the two teams remaining with the highest point total playing against each other for a championship.
Ratcliff makes history at Baker Invitational
Crestview’s Braxton Ratcliff made history at the Baker Invitational last Wednesdasy.
Ratcliff totaled 650-lbs. in the 199 lbs. weight class in the traditional category, which included a meet record of 345-lbs. in the clean and jerk.
Gators weightlifting competes in Oliver’s Nursery Invitational
The Baker boys weightlifting team hosted the 15th annual Oliver’s Nursery Invitational on Feb. 19 in the Baker gym.
10 teams from four different counties were represented in the meet, with 3A reigning state champion, Pace, and 2A reigning state champion, Choctaw among the programs who were at the meet.

Baker boys weightlifting set to host meet this Wednesday
The Baker boys weightlifting team will host their biggest meet this Wednesday, Feb. 19, as they welcome 10 teams to Baker for the 15th annual Oliver’s Nursery Invitational.
The meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Baker gym.

It’s time for the FHSAA state girls weightlifting meet
Area 1A and 3A girls weightlifting teams are set to compete in their respective state meets Saturday at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
Pace goes into it as the reigning two-time state champion in Olympic and traditional in 3A. Navarre and Milton are expected to have strong showings at state as well. Central, Crestview and Baker have lifters competing in the 1A meet.
