It has been almost four months since Baker School volleyball libero Chloe Ates to committed to play for St. Leo University, a Catholic school in St. Leo located near Tampa. Tuesday, Dec. 12, Ates, the libero on Baker’s state championship team, made it official signing with the Lions.

Her father, Louis Richard, is a former assistant coach at Auburn University and Ole Miss. Her four siblings are soccer players. She has been playing since she was three.

It wasn’t hard to hear the frustration in the voice of Crestview High School boys basketball coach Greg Watson on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs didn’t play well against visiting Gulf Breeze and it showed not only on the scoreboard, but in the scorebook as well. The Dolphins won 62-55. It’s the way they won that had Watson upset.

The Baker Lady Gators basketball team scored all the points it needed for the win in the first quarter of Thursday’s home opener against Aletheia Christian. The Lady Gators outscored the Lady Lions 13-2 in the first quarter and led 28-4 at the half.
