Crestview volleyball’s Sheffield commits to University of Mobile
Aubrey Sheffield, a volleyball star at Crestview High School, announced her commitment to continue her playing career at the University of Mobile.
Sheffield, a rising senior, contributed heavily to the success of both the indoor and beach volleyball programs for the Bulldogs this past season.

Earlier last week, Jackson Cantwell, who was a five-star offensive tackle in high school from Missouri, announced his commitment to play at the University of Miami for football.
Cantwell did not officially sign with the school. He just verbally committed in a public ceremony.
Crestview’s Johnson signs with University of Fort Lauderdale
Crestview High School’s M’Jay Johnson will continue her athletic career as she signed a scholarship to play at the University of Fort Lauderdale.
Johnson will play both basketball and flag football with the Eagles.

Baker teams earn Academic Team Champion award
Five sports teams from Baker were given the academic team champions award following their spring seasons.
The Gator baseball team finished the year with a 3.353 GPA, while the softball team finished with a 3.487 GPA.
Madolyn Mills signs with Jones College
Madolyn Mills of Baker will continue her volleyball career at Jones College, an NJCAA school in Mississippi.
Mills starred for the Gators as she helped the team to five district championships, three final fours and a state championship in 2023.
Maddox Smith signs with Southern Virginia University
Maddox Smith, a senior at the Baker School, officially signed to continue his athletic career at Southern Virginia University on May 19.
Smith, a star in both baseball and football for the Gators, will primarily play football for the Knights who are a member of the USA South Athletic Conference in Division III of the NCAA.
Local athletes play in area all-star baseball game
Three players from North Okaloosa County played in the Pensacola Sports All-Star baseball game at Pensacola State College on May 16.
