As a sophomore in 2022, Lorenzo Blackwell established himself as one of the best players on the Crestview High School football team. He was also in the process of becoming one of the best basketball players for the Bulldogs. And basketball is his first love.

And not even that rule was firm as members from the East squad were moved to the West dugout shortly before the start of the game so it could be played.

Connor Williams is a man on the move. Williams, who turns 26 on June 15 is now the former Crestview Lady Bulldogs basketball coach. He officially starts his new job June 16 as an assistant women’s basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kent.

Anyone thinking that Baker football coach Matt Brunson would wait until his official start date of July 8 to start working with the Gators doesn’t know Brunson. Brunson was reintroduced as the top Gator on May 16 at the Maroon and White game. He was on the field Monday when the Gators opened their summer workout.
