Bush House renovations nearing completion
It’s been years in the making – some might even say decades – but Crestview’s history is finally getting its own museum.
The demolition and reconstruction work on the Lorenza Bush House, a 3,600 square-foot Craftsman first built in 1925 for the wife of a railroad tracks supervisor, is complete.

Two 15-year-olds facing murder charges in shooting death of Crestview teen
Two 15-year-olds have been charged with the murder of a Crestview teen Thursday afternoon. According to Fort Walton Beach police, two 15-year-old boys – Brandon Lanieux and Trevor Brown – met 18-year-old Sean Yadriel Burgos-Jimenez of Crestview in the parking lot of the Fort Walton Beach Recreation Center on Jet Drive NW.
Former Baker fire chief indicted for murder
An Escambia County Grand Jury has indicted Brian Keith Easterling for the charge of First Degree Murder.
The Indictment stems from the June 2, 2022, shooting death of Michael Evers.
Construction set to begin on I-10 exchange at P.J. Adams
The Florida Department of Transportation recently announced work will begin on the I-10 interchange at Antioch Road/P.J. Adams later this month.
The project is expected to be completed by 2026.
City employees to receive mid-year cost-of-living raises
Most Crestview city employees will soon see a little extra in their paychecks.
City Council, at last Monday’s meeting, approved a one-time $1,000 bonus and a 3% cost of living raise for all city workers below the “director” level.

Commission puts six-month hold on Holt septage plant
