Car burglars hit 20-25 vehicles in north Okaloosa

Reports started coming in at about 5 a.m. on Sunday, according to information from the OCSO. Most of the vehicles were in the area off Live Oak Church Road and Shoffner Boulevard.

Governor visits, announces $3.4 million funding to support military missions

Governor Ron DeSantis announced Sept. 15 in a Milton press conference that Santa Rosa, Escambia and Okaloosa counties will receive $3.4 million in grant funding from the Department of Economic Opportunity.

“We appreciate having great installations and a great active-duty footprint, and of course NWF is one of the strongest military communities in the nation – we understand that enriches our community and our economy,” DeSantis said at the conference.
