Out of all the camps Crestview Parks and Recreation have hosted this summer, cheer camp is Athletic Programs Manager, Teresa Lucari’s favorite.


With 86 total campers in attendance, Lucari was excited to teach them new chants and cheers before the upcoming regular season.

Crestview Parks and Recreation’s basketball camp has been running for multiple years now with Willie B. Livingston at the center of it for eight.


Livingston returned once again to help kids aged 8-15 years old improve their basketball skills.

What started with toys eight years ago has rapidly grown into a fully involved community event for the Queiana’s Way Foundation.


With 350 backpacks full of school supplies, Porsha and Darius Jackson were able to prepare K-12 students for the upcoming school year.

Flag Football has proceeded to grow over the years in high school and college, while breaking ground with a professional league in 2027 and debuting in the 2028 Olympic Games.


Doing their part to grow the sport and keep kids active, Crestview Parks and Recreation hosted their second year of Flag Football Camp.

A group of teenagers in Baker are spreading the Gospel during lunchtime and summertime.

Aszariah Fredericks, 15, and Dalton Jacobs, 14, created a group called Truth and Testimony, hoping to encourage more of their peers to follow Jesus Christ.

Crestview Parks and Recreation has been busy hosting various camps throughout the summer.


With most camps being focused on athletics, such as swim camp, soccer camp, and volleyball camp, its most recent moved in the direction of the younger generation.

The city of Crestview has been partners with its French sister city, Noirmoutier (nwar-MOO-tee-yay) for 31-years.


To honor their French counterpart, the Crestview Area Sister City Program and Crestview History Museum celebrated Bastille Day this past Saturday.

This past Thursday the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 70th anniversary at its Awards and Installation Breakfast.


Members of the Chamber gathered at the Community Center to celebrate another year and recognize those that went above and beyond with an award ceremony.

Crestview Parks and Recreation continue to provide summer activities for the children of Crestview with its latest venture being Swim Camp.


Over 50 kids signed up to participate last week between the two available time slots to work on their swimming skills under the leadership of Crestview High School swim coach David Hernandez and his crew.

The city of Crestview has grown over the years with the addition of housing, city projects, and small businesses.


Now, three more businesses are making their way to Crestview to add to scenic downtown.
