As more and more products are created, the more people purchase from stores. Whether they are for long or short-term use, these purchases can often find their way on a street, on the grass in a park, or floating down the river.


Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners sought to counteract the amount of litter in Okaloosa County with Keep Okaloosa Beautful. Their most recent venture was a river cleanup at Milligan/Yellow River Park in Baker last Tuesday.

The Baker Area Recreational Association hosted their 35th Old Spanish Trail Pro Rodeo last weekend.


Night one began on Saturday with a major crowd in the arena. Day two of the rodeo had an earlier start for “Kids Day”.

The second annual “Touch-A-Truck” event hosted by the Crestview Public Library was a success this past Saturday.


Children from the area showed up to experience the ins-and-outs of community vehicles and showed off their speed in the Power Wheels races hosted by the Crestview Police Department.

The City of Crestview is taking over Pensacola for their second annual “Crestview Night” at Blue Wahoos Stadium on Thursday, April 30.


“Crestview Night” will feature local community members for the singing of the National Anthem and honorary first pitch, while placing the community of Crestview in their own section where they can come together and enjoy a night of Blue Wahoos baseball.

The art of Fencing has been around since the Ancient Era of history. It was a form of sword combat that evolved into one of the earliest Olympic sports in 1896.


With European roots, the sport has grown across America, and it has now made its way into Crestview with Unity Fencing Academy.

Saturday March 28 is a busy weekend in the city of Crestview. To start, the Triple B Festival makes it return to Main St starting at 11:00 a.m.


But before the festival begins to fill the streets with music and BBQ, the Crestview Public Library will have a full parking lot for their sixth annual ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Back in August 2025, the Crestview City Council announced that a portion of about $170,000 worth of renovation work would be performed to create the future Arts & Learning Center.


Originally, it was set to be an interior remodel of the old Connect With Flowers store, but after some inspection it now needs structural help.

Nearly 15,000 fans of blues, brews and barbecue are expected to take over downtown Crestview.
The 22nd Annual Triple B Festival is set for Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place on Main Street and several side streets and is organized by the nonprofit Main Street Crestview Association.

Businesses, organizations and krewes were on hand tossing beads and Moon Pies for the Mardi Gras parade hosted by Downtown Crestview, the City of Crestview and North Okaloosa Medical Center.

The Laurel Hill Future Farmers of America hosted their first annual Springtime Jamboree this past Saturday at Gene Clary Park.


Local vendors, food trucks, tractor lovers, and The Murder Creek Ramblers attended the event to help with the FFA’s fundraising to help upkeep the park.
