In December 2025, the City of Crestview took control of Central Baptist Church’s Recreational Outreach Center, known as the ROC. After eight to 12 weeks of renovations, the city commemorated the opening of the new Crestview Recreation Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.

The 4th Annual Petco Love Florida MEGA Adoption Event occurred this past weekend across the state of Florida.


Crestview Animal Services took part in the event to get their animals into a loving new home.

The weather did its best to rain on Crestview Parks and Recreation’s second week of soccer camp, but nothing was going to prevent getting community kids active.


Whether it was inside at Twin Hills Gymnasium or out on the damp soccer field, 29 campers showed up ready to get better.

Crestview Parks and Recreation has been busy this summer as they continue to host varying camps for children to attend during their summer break.


This past week, children ages 7-13 participated in Volleyball camp from June 15 through June 18.

This past Tuesday AMVETS Post 35 in Crestview and Ladies Auxiliary Group awarded seven scholarships to North Okaloosa County students.


A total of $10,750 in scholarships were handed out between AMVETS Post and the Ladies Auxiliary Group.

Getting students prepared to go back to school can be stressful. Parents are often handed a long list of items their child needs for certain classes ranging from three ring binders, notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, and the list goes on.


To relief the stress, the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation, Okaloosa County School District, and the Salvation Army Florida Division are partnering together for their upcoming “Stuff the Bus” event.

The city of Crestview holds a deep-rooted history in time that some citizens may not know about.


To celebrate the momentous occasion of Crestview turning 110 years old, the Crestview Historic Preservation Board and the Crestview History Museum held a Crestview History Day in its honor.

The Crestview Crusaders swim team hit the water early this past Friday as they held their “Splash for Cash” fundraising event.


Not only did the athletes of the team get a full workout, but they also held true to their word in fulfilling pledges made by donors.

Summer is the best time to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. But since the introduction of phones and video game consoles, kids playing outside has become scarce.


Crestview Park and Recreation found a way to introduce kids to a fun outdoor activity that will inspire them to go outside after hosting their annual fishing camp last week.
