Crestview softball camp is a big success
A month ago John Toolan had no idea he would be leading the Crestview High School softball program as interim coach. When the school chose not renew Michelle Howard’s contract, Toolan was asked to take over the program on which his daughter, Cambell, will be a sophomore pitcher next spring.

In an age of football specialization, Baker School is still a place where players not only have the opportunity to play both offense and defense, they need to so the Gators can get the best players on the field.
Rising senior Judah Morse is one of those players. He plays running back and receiver on offense. He’ll be a starting cornerback on defense and he’s the Baker place kicker as well.

Nocher is one tough “Turtle”
His given name is Nathaniel Nocher, but everyone calls him Turtle.
Nocher, who is the frontrunner to replace Jerome Brazan as the Crestview High School quarterback, said his dad gave him the nickname when he was younger.
Baker weightlifting team celebrates another strong season
The Baker School boys weightlifting team celebrated another banner year on May 15 celebrating the 2023 season with the annual year-end banquet.
The Gators were undefeated in regular season dual and tri meets running their record to 61-consecutive regular season wins. Baker outscored its opponents 852-141 this season.‘They competed hard’
In what is becoming a not so welcomed tradition, the Baker spring football game was curtailed by lightning in the area for the second-consecutive year as the Gators took to the field on May 16.
Fortunately, the lightning came after about 45 minutes of action, giving fans and coaches alike an opportunity to see the team in action.Make it rain
Shortly before last Friday’s 7 p.m. start time of Crestview’s spring football game against Pensacola High, the skies above Jack Foster Stadium opened up with a steady, and at times hard, rain that continued throughout the evening.

Michelle Howard won’t be returning as the Crestview High School softball coach next year.
Howard said she was informed of the decision that she wouldn’t be retained earlier this month.
