Jack Foster Stadium will be alive with the sights, sounds and smells of high school football one last time in 2023 on Friday when Crestview plays host to Fort Walton Beach.

There are no Cinderellas left in the Class 1A volleyball tournament.
On Tuesday night all four matches to decide who would play in the Final Four were between teams that were one or two seeds. In other words, it was the best of the best in Class 1A playing each other.
Maddox Reeves displays heart of a warrior
Maddox Reeves is a throwback football player to another era when players that might be considered undersized linemen played both ways.

Crestview’s swim team competed at the District 1-3A meet last Friday at the University of West Florida Aquatic Center in Pensacola.
Gators hold on for win
The Baker Gators football team headed north to Troy, Ala., on Friday to face Pike Liberal Arts Academy in what might be the last game of the season.
The Gators took care of Pike winning 32-24.
Davidson repeats as county champs
It as a perfect 10 for the Davidson Middle School football team this year.
The Panthers went undefeated with a 10-0 record to claim their second consecutive Okaloosa County Middle School Football Championship.
Bulldogs blow past Leon
Powered by a 20-point second quarter, the Crestview football team rolled to a 39-14 win at Leon on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs, who struggled to score much of the season, have scored 88 points in the last two games.
Bulldogs focus on getting better
The Crestview High School football team will board the buses one last time in the 2023 season on Thursday and head east to Tallahassee to face the Leon Lions. Game time is 6:30 locally.
With a 2-6 record, the Bulldogs have been eliminated from playoff contention, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have plenty to play for coming off a 49-22 win over Milton.
Baker’s Armstrong picks Mercer
Kurt Armstrong towers above most high school football players he faces at Baker. A small school player with big school size, Armstrong, a senior stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 320 pounds.
Baker’s big man will soon be taking his talents to the next level as he recently committed to play for Mercer University in Macon, Ga.
Gators drop heartbreaker to Freeport
A Herculean effort by Wyatt Straight wasn’t enough for the Baker football team on Thursday as the Gators hosted Freeport at Doug Griffith Memorial Stadium.
Straight rushed for 306 yards on 38 carries and scored five touchdowns. For good measure he caught a pass for 17 yards.
