The Baker football team is preparing for its final stretch of its regular season.

The Baker High School volleyball team swept Russell County on Oct. 8.

The Baker and Crestview football teams continue to fight for spots in the FHSAA Football playoffs that are rapidly approaching.

Baker (6-1) had four players total over 30 yards rushing, and had three players find the end zone on the ground, in a 20-6 victory over Northview on Oct. 4.

The Baker Gators had an offensive explosion, scoring five touchdowns, with four coming on the ground, in a 33-18 victory over visiting Houston County last Friday night.

Crestview threw everything except the kitchen sink at Pace Friday night in a massive district opener for both teams.

Baker doesn’t back down from playing up in competition.


In the Rural classification this season, the Gators are the reigning 1A state champs and use opportunities against bigger schools to benefit them in the long run.
