Crestview’s offense falls flat
One was the loneliest number for the Crestview High School baseball team on Monday as the Bulldogs hosted West Florida in the last home game of the regular season.
Bulldog leadoff hitter Bryson Martin reached base and scored in the first inning. For a while it looked like the run would be enough, but it wasn’t.

Crestview softball overcomes early deficit to beat Choctaw
Crestview Bulldogs softball traveled to Choctawhatchee High School Thursday, April 20, for an important pre-playoff matchup.
After a tough first inning, where they gave up three runs, the Bulldogs began a methodical comeback, scoring a single run each inning until the top of the 7th inning, when they blew the game wide open with a Cambell Toolan home run that brought in three runners.

The Crestview baseball team played a clean game against Pace, the number one 6A team in the state on Thursday. But clean wasn’t good enough.
“We needed to be squeaky clean,” Bulldog coach Tim Gillis said following a 3-0 loss to the Patriots.

Baker track prepares for district meet
The Baker School track team finished out the regular season in winning style on April 11 and now prepares for the District 1-1A meet at Jay.
Gator coach Wilder Kersey likes where his team is heading going into the district meet. He believes the boys will do well, but sees Pensacola Christian Academy as the team to beat in the district.

Flag football season ends for Bulldogs
It was a disappointing end to the flag football season for the Crestview Lady Bulldogs on Monday.
Down key players due to injuries, Crestview was unable to find the end zone in a 13-0 loss to Niceville in the opening round of the district tournament.

Baker carries on tradition of weightlifting success
Saturday was a good day for the Baker Gators.
They competed at the 1A state weightlifting meet at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland and turned in a solid performance, one that featured three lifters placing in the top 10.

He fell short of that goal this season, taking fifth in the 238-pound weight class in Olympic with a 495-pound total.
