It’s time for football.


Crestview and Baker both play Kickoff Classics this week. The Bulldogs take on Pensacola Catholic at home on Thursday and Baker will play rival Northview on the road on Friday.

One thing that stands out about the Crestview volleyball team coming into the season is the experience on its roster.


There are seven seniors on the team and several key contributors.

Crestview head football coach Thomas Grant can point to a handful of games last year where, if a few more plays are made, or if turnovers don’t happen, the outcome is different.


As it is, the Bulldogs went 4-6, but they believe better days are ahead.

Baker’s football team produced a 7-4 record last season, which, on the surface, looks good because it’s a winning season.


But in Gator country, where tradition is rich and success runs deep, the expectations are, understandably, higher.

The University of West Florida football team is picked to win the Gulf South Conference this season.

It will be a big day for baseball at Blue Wahoos Stadium on Oct 18 as Florida State will take on Mississippi State in an exhibition game.

Crestview and Baker are closing in on the start of their 2025 volleyball seasons.


The Bulldogs nearly had a winning season while the Gators won their 22nd consecutive district championship and went on to play in the state final four.

That is the day that I started here at the Crestview News Bulletin.

After two months of running in the hot morning sun, the Baker football team finished its summer workouts.

Along with lifting in the weight room, the team practiced three days a week in June and four days a week in July.

In June and July, the Crestview football team made real strides.

Now, they are ready for fall camp to arrive to show the progress that they have made.
