It is a time when we can raise money for various missions, wear pink to support those fighting breast cancer and honor those who may have died from the dreadful disease. And this is also time to remind you how you can get the best outcome – early detection – which means finding the cancer before symptoms begin.

City of Laurel Hill: Pop. 584, for now

Originally known as Almirante in 1895, a small logging and farm community was renamed Laurel Hill. It is Okaloosa County’s oldest city and has a population of about 600 or so.
Nestled in a rural area in north Okaloosa, the southern charm is not lost on this small, incorporated city.
