Crestview community theatre troupe planned
An organizational meeting, open to the community, is planned for 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Warriors Hall in the Whitehurst Municipal Building, 209 Stillwell Blvd.
Dante exhibit coming to Crestview Library
A free exhibition of works taken from Dante’s “Divine Comedy” will run Feb. 12 through March 11. It is the second public exhibit of the collection, which debuted locally at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College’s Niceville campus in November.
State supervisor of elections offering four $1,200 scholarships
Applicants must be registered Florida voters and live in the state for at least the preceding two years. Applicants must be either a political science, public administration, business administration or journalism/mass communication major and be at least a junior in college.
Powering partnerships – Crestview’s theme for 2022
At the start of each year the City of Crestview chooses a theme, a slogan, and a logo to embrace in the new year. This tradition began in 2019, as we transitioned to a new administration. The theme that year was “A New View for Crestview.” In 2020, the theme was “A Community Coming Together” which turned out to be very prophetic because Covid did bring the City of Crestview together. Last year, we used our experiences to transition into the theme “Raising the Bar.”
Crestview troop celebrating 100 years in scouting
Unit commissioner Don Snyder said troops from Alabama all the way down to Panama City have been invited to the 2022 Centennial Encampment. The event will take place at Spanish Trail Festival Park in Crestview.

ProHealth donates $21,000 to 10 local nonprofits
ProHealth of Northwest Florida donated $21,000 to 10 local nonprofits during the month of December. Each ProHealth office was given $3,000 to donate to a nonprofit of the employees’ choosing. The money was split between multiple nonprofits or the total amount to one single nonprofit.
