According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm is currently a Category 3, with winds of 120 mph. The storm is moving north-northeast at 16 mph and will continue North after a predicted landfall between 8 and 10 p.m.
Storm surge is expected anywhere from seven to nine feet, with a tornado risk to coastal Alabama areas and the Florida Panhandle.
Currently, tropical-storm-force winds extend 205 miles from the center. Hurricane-force winds extend only 35 miles.
