New sports complex creates online buzz
A portion of a nearly 500-acre and currently heavily wooded private property that stands just north of the U.S. Highway 90/Antioch Road intersection is the Crestview City Council’s preferred location for the city’s planned, multimillion-dollar local sports complex….

Since you work for, We the people, We the People should have a say in everything. You don’t get to decide for us. You don’t get to continue cutting down all of our trees, running off wildlife and robbing us of our country living. Crookaloosa lining their pockets with our tax dollars. WE NEED DOGE!!! It’s time We the People stand up. Speak up and tell those that make decisions for us that they work for us, the PEOPLE. Without our money, they wouldn’t have a job.

sounds like free land development for the land owner and a long lease of making money off the city…

What they need to focus on is infustructor. Get the traffic problem solved then think about a sport complex or more businesses.

So, 500 acres of private property? Plus, that’s one of the worst flood zones in Crestview. That’s an amazing idea…Maybe remodel Spanish Trail Park. There’s plenty of room there for a sports complex.

Old Spanish Trail park is run down and there’s plenty of space to expand and refresh what is already there. Do that instead.

How about LEAVE IT ALONE

Well imagine that it’s the Powell’s land that our fine city is going to spend a lot of extra money on and yes it floods a lot

That’s where the BYPASS should have been placed, instead of running through neighborhoods and imminent domaining a whole lot of $600,000 homes.

That area of yellow river floods badly. I can’t imagine the bugs in that area you’ll get too. Taking bets on how long it takes until you have to put another red light there as well.

This is awesome, I’m hoping they can add in water access as well! So long overdue!

Who owns the land and do they have a connection to anyone on the council?
Francisco L.
More wasted money

If they own it then use it for the Northwest Bypass instead of Old Bethel Road. It would be cheaper then trying to buy the property along Old Bethel.

Follow the money.

Awesome!

The plans for this are really cool, but also really expensive. I hope everyone attends the March 5th meeting about this so we can all be well informed of what this would entail.

Private County property for a city sports complex. Same as it ever was in Crestucky.

Appears to be a 2nd rate piece of land unless there’s a plan to develop water sports activities as well.

What happened to the north of town idea? Away from residential areas? As to not impact with light and noise pollution?
Jay B.
But will it also have a car wash?
Angelika C.
Build it and they will come

Let the complaining begin!

Cool.
Mike H.
I fixed it.
