City in process of closing 107-year-old loophole to designate official city seal

For more than 100 years, the City of Crestview has certified its ordinances and other official documents with the city seal created soon after the city itself was incorporated.

Now 107 years later, the city is in the process of closing a loophole related to the seal.

Crestview City Clerk Maryanne Schrader stamps the city seal on an ordinance related to the city’s new sidewalk fund. Although the seal has been in use for more than 100 years, the city is just now going through the process of officially designating it the city seal.
