Winn-Dixie grocery stores throughout Northwest Florida is offering shoppers $20 in free groceries to shoppers who get vaccinated at one of their stores.
Southeastern Grocers Inc., parent company of Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket, is offering $20 in free groceries as vaccine incentives in all in-store pharmacies to further encourage customers and their families to get up to date on routine vaccinations.

Sheriff’s Office arrests seven during Operational April Fools
Seven people have been arrested following an undercover operation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office targeting adults looking to meet minors online for sexual encounters.
Operation April’s Fools is part of an going OCSO effort to protect children from predators looking to do them harm. The suspects in this operation traveled to a predetermined location with the intention to meet the juveniles, but instead were taken into custody by OCSO deputies.

City updates planning board on future priorities
The City of Crestview has a lot going on and City Manager Tim Bolduc recently held a special meeting of the Planning and Development Board to make sure its members knew what direction the city was heading.
The planning board is a volunteer committee that reviews proposed changes to the city’s comprehensive plan and its land development code, along with ordinances related to annexations, and makes recommendations to the Crestview City Council.

City clears property taken over by squatters
A lot can happen in a couple of days.
On March 27, a group of residents who lived around Shortwell Avenue attended the Crestview City Council meeting to discuss the deplorable living conditions in their neighborhood brought on by one problem residence where they owner had passed away and squatters had begun living there.
