A 7-year-old child from Missouri sustained serious injuries and had to be flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital after a two-vehicle accident that temporarily closed down Antioch Road on Thursday afternoon. An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office pickup truck was travelling south on State Road 85 when the collision occurred at the intersection of Antioch Road. According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the sheriff’s vehicle had the green light and travelled through the intersection.

Easter had even more meaning this year at First Presbyterian Church in Crestview. For the first time in almost two months, the congregation was able to celebrate worship services in its sanctuary. Early on the morning of Feb. 18, a car crashed into the front of the church at the intersection of North Ferdon Boulevard and James Lee Boulevard, reaching the interior wall of the sanctuary.
