McLemore appeared for his arraignment in federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Zachary C. Bolitho last Tuesday in Pensacola. Jury trial is scheduled for Nov. 10 before District Court Judge T. Kent Wetherell, II.
If convicted, McLemore faces up to life imprisonment.
The case was joint investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Tharp is prosecuting the case.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
