On Friday, Richard Zach Wagner was taken into custody at a home on Antioch Road near Crestview after law enforcement tracked him down.

Wagner initially barricaded himself inside and refused to exit, S.O. officials said in a news release.

Wagner had fled into woods and disappeared in early April after deputies attempted to take him into custody during a traffic stop. He’s accused of later battering a woman and taking her car by force.

Wagner’s numerous charges include obstructing police serving/executing a search warrant, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, fleeing/eluding a law enforcement officer, possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon, grand theft of a motor vehicle, kidnapping, and robbery.
