At 8:30 p.m. Sunday, the Crestview Police Department responded to the FLA Convenience gas station at 698 N. Ferdon Blvd. in reference to a person who received a gunshot wound to the lower torso.
The injuries occurred during an altercation at the rear of the business where four males confronted the victim with firearms and shot at the victim, police said in a news release on Monday.
When officers arrived on scene, emergency first aid was rendered to the victim, who was promptly transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is in the process of interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence and identifying the subjects in this case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
