Zessin enjoying role as baseball coach at Florala

Tyler Zessin, a 2012 Laurel Hill School graduate, has traded the blue and gold of his alma mater for the green and white of Florala (Ala.) High School.

A former standout on the Laurel Hill basketball and baseball teams, Zessin played basketball for his father, Kent Zessin, and baseball for Ronnie Smith.

Tyler Zessin, a 2012 graduate of Laurel Hill School is the head baseball coach at Florala, Ala., and teaches elementary school physical education at W.S. Harlan Elementary School in Florala. Zessin was named the 2023-24 Covington County Ala., Teacher of the Year by the Greater Andalusia Chamber of Commerce.
