The talented 10th grader is the type of player every coach dreams of. She has anchored the infield at third base, can play all four infield slots as well as the three outfield positions.

Tyler Zessin, a 2012 Laurel Hill School graduate, has traded the blue and gold of his alma mater for the green and white of Florala (Ala.) High School.

A former standout on the Laurel Hill basketball and baseball teams, Zessin played basketball for his father, Kent Zessin, and baseball for Ronnie Smith.

The age-old question of whether a baseball team starting spring break or ending spring break might have been answered on Friday night when Crestview traveled to Pensacola to take on Pine Forest. Okaloosa County schools were scheduled to return to class on Monday, March 25 while Escambia County students were celebrating the start of the week away from the classroom Friday evening. In this case it was the team returning to school that had the upper hand. Or it might just be that the Bulldogs are better than Eagles in taking the 9-2 win.

The Crestview High School tennis team played host to Fort Walton Beach last Tuesday with the Bulldogs taking down the Vikings 7-0 in match play.

Last Wednesday’s game between Crestview and Tate can only be described as a thing of beauty that even Aggies fans could appreciate in the 7-1 win by the Bulldogs.

Beach volleyball is just in its second season at Crestview High School. And the 2024 campaign is the first year the Lady Bulldogs have enjoyed having home courts. The courts are still a work in progress as the amenities are being built around the two sand courts. It’s only fitting that the Lady Bulldogs also are a work in progress.

Hits were hard to come by for the Baker Lady Gators softball team against Freeport on Thursday night. Runs were even more scarce. Baker managed just two hits and scored one run in a 5-1 loss to the Lady Bulldogs. Ironically, the Lady Gator run came in the fifth inning without Baker getting a hit.
