Pastor Mickey Muse is a man with a vision, and that’s not just the name of his church.
After almost five decades in ministry, Muse is going strong. His most recent endeavor in ministry is Vision Baptist Church.

An assistant high school football coach in Washington state who lost his job during a controversy over his public post-game prayers was back on the field Friday after the U.S. Supreme Court held his practice was protected by the Constitution.

Rob Armstrong is in a transition period of life. A longtime high school coach who served both as head coach and an assistant coach. Armstrong retired from Baker School where he was the offensive coordinator on the football team and an assistant baseball coach at the end of the 2022-23 school year.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13, “If I speak with the tongues of men and angels and don’t have love, I’m like a clanging brass and tinkling cymbal.” The love Paul wrote about is at the foundation of Golan Assembly of God’s Back to School Outreach initiative on Aug. 6. The outreach provided school supplies, clothes and haircuts to families in need throughout the area.

Chelsea Gay is a 29-year-old wife, mother to three boys, worship leader, and co-lead pastor of High Praise Crestview, alongside her husband Micah. She loves to help people find their identity and purpose in Christ and preach the Gospel with passion, vulnerability and humor.

The simple white cinder block building probably looks the same as it did 40 or 50 years ago. But if a building could talk, the home of Oak Ridge Family Church, would tell stories of God’s love through the years.

The small Assembly of God church is currently without a pastor, but that doesn’t mean a heart and vision isn’t there for those who regularly attend.

It was a mission trip to remember for 19 members of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church as they traveled to Uganda last month to share the Gospel of Jesus. Pilgrim Rest pastor Geoff Prows took his entire family on the trip. making it even more meaningful.

In Matthew 19:14 Jesus told the disciples not to keep the children away from Him because the Kingdom of Heaven was made up of children. Members of Woodlawn Baptist Church put that truth to practice last week as they hosted a Backyard Bible Club at Sunset Village. The event was part of the ongoing ministry the church has in Sunset Village.

Pastor Josh Neel and his congregation at Hope City Community Church are on a mission that should excite any follower of Christ. The church was established a little more than a year ago meeting at Shoal River Middle School. Hope City still meets at the Shoal River location with services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. each Sunday morning.
