Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) brought 10 new solar energy centers online throughout Florida Feb. 1.

FPL now has 60 solar energy centers installed statewide – capable of generating enough clean, emissions-free energy to power approximately 900,000 homes throughout the state.

City Manager Tim Bolduc on Monday, April 11, told the Crestview City Council at its regular meeting that the city is in “good financial condition” and asked councilmembers to schedule a day-long budget workshop in July to begin planning the city’s financial future.

Construction is underway on a new dollar store along State Road 85 in Laurel Hill. The new store is just down the road from a Dollar General store.

A development order for the project was signed in mid-December and a site plan has been approved by the county, according to the development order. The gas station will be just across Galliver Cutoff from the Ritz Food Mart.
