Florida Power and Light (FPL) has announced new rates are on the horizon for customers. The company, which supplies much of the electricity to homes and businesses in northwest Florida, plans to file a formal request to set new rates once its current base rate agreement concludes at the end of 2025. The agreement is with the Florida Public Service Commission.

Florida Power & Light Co. has awarded 10 nonprofits across northwest Florida with grants totaling $50,000 that will help provide life-changing opportunities for communities.

The massive renovation of the 77-year-old Fox Theater building on Main Street in downtown Crestview began on Tuesday, the theater’s owners announced in a Facebook post.

Construction continues on a 2,824-square-foot Murphy USA convenience store and fueling station in Crestview.
