Shortly after midnight on Friday, Gentry, 25, was arrested by the Fort Walton Police Department on charges of reckless driving, racing and tampering with evidence while operating a motorcycle.

“Needless to say, such allegations are unacceptable and deeply disappointing,” OCSO officials said Friday afternoon in a news release. “The deputy, who had been with the agency for three years, has been informed he has been terminated as a result. His actions are not representative of the professionalism and commitment to excellence we expect of our team, and we commend our colleagues in Fort Walton Beach for their diligence.”
