Okaloosa County one step closer to acquiring historic ship, creating world’s largest artificial reef

The Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners approved a contingent contract on Oct. 1 that is the next step in acquiring the historic SS United States and converting the historic ocean liner into the world’s largest artificial reef.
