Nixon aims to build back Baker baseball

It hasn’t been 100 years since the Baker School baseball team last appeared in the state playoffs. But it’s easy to see why it might feel that way.

The Gators made the playoffs three consecutive years between 2005 and 2007. The 2007 playoff appearance under Gary Taylor, who is now an assistant principal at Baker, was the last for the Gators.

Preston Nixon is in his first season as the Baker baseball coach and his goal is to lead the program back to prominence.
