Music for a monarch’s funeral: Queen Elizabeth’s music maestro once visited Crestview mayor

Several years before the events currently unfolding in Great Britain surrounding the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, a senior Crestview official received an unofficial briefing on the amount of detail that goes into the planning of a royal funeral.

Then-Mayor David Cadle, a former band director whose music career spanned more than three decades, welcomed Lt. Col. (ret.) Dr. Graham Jones, the former senior director of music for Coldstream Guards’ Household Division, to City Hall April 27, 2017.
