Notice of Final Agency Action Taken by the Northwest Florida Water Management District Notice is given that Environmental Resource permit number IND-091-317378-2 was issued on September 13, 2024, to FDOT District 3 for the construction of a new surface water management system for (FPID: 452231-2) SR 8 (I-10) Okaloosa County Eastbound Rest Area Truck Parking Availability. The project is designed to serve a modification to IND-091-317378-1, located approximately 3.7 miles east of the I-10 and State Road 85 Interchange at the FDOT eastbound rest area in Okaloosa County. The surface water management system consisted of expanding three of the existing dry retention ponds (Ponds 3, 4, and 5) located along the southern boundary of the property. This modification will reconfigure the layout of the parking area and reduce the number of parking spaces. No changes to the previouslypermitted ponds are proposed. This permit modification is not anticipated to have any impacts within wetlands or other surface waters. Please refer to the approved plans for details of the surface water management system. The application file is available online and can be accessed through theDistrict’se-Permitting Portal at: https://permitting.sjrwmd.com/nwepermitting/jsp/Search.do?theAction=PermitNumSearch.
