Notice of Sale of Surplus Property
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct a Sale of Surplus Property by Sealed Bid for the sale of a +- 8,289 sq./ft. parcel of land improved with a Three (3) story, 7,223 sq./ft. building on Tuesday February 28, 2023, at 2:05p.m. Central Time. The property (ID# 24-2S-24-0000-0124-0000) is located at 185 Brooks Street, Ft. Walton Beach, in Okaloosa County, FL and has access from Brooks Street. The bid opening will be held at the Florida Department of Transportation District Three Right of Way Office located at 1074 Hwy 90, Chipley, FL 32428. The successful bidder must be prepared to place a non-refundable deposit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price within 24 hours of notification of award of bid, in the form of cash, cashierメs check, money order or other non-cancelable instrument.
The minimum acceptable bid is $900,000 which has been established by an approved appraisal. The conveyance for this improvement will be by Quitclaim deed / with oil, gas and mineral rights reserved. Buyer will be required to pay all closing cost associated with this transaction, documentary stamps and recording fees plus an appraisal cost of $8,000.
